1982 Pearl Maples (G-Series - Keller shells)
16’x22” Bass drum / 16”x16” Floor Tom / 12” x 14” Tom / 10”x12” Tom / 8”x10” tom
There was a brown industrial cover over these drums. A heat gun and hours of work uncovered the original finish. The drums are in good shape for being 37 yrs old. Bearing edges are very good, and while some of the hardware shows patina, the set is all there.
I’m generally all smiles but all business when in restoration mode.
Here’s the finished set.
These Keller maple shells sound amazing!
Warm and punchy!
A huge shout out to my friends at Precision Drum Company.
The Precision Drum Company history: Founded in 1961 by George A. Folchi, Precision Drum Company was the first provider of drum recovering wrap, selling the very same material that was being used by the major American drum companies. If you’re ever looking to restore, refinish or build a set of drums - Precision Drum Company should be your only call.
2024 Student Recital
On Sunday September 9, 2024 we held our student recital. It was very well attended by families and friends. Our event raised nearly $800.00 for the Southbury Volunteer Fire Department. The students’ all played great and had a total blast performing with a live band of professional musicians for the very first time. Here are some pictures of that special day!
Jake killin’ (in a great way) Z.Z. Top’s “Gimme All Your Lovin’
Calvin seriously groovin’ to Ben E. King’s“Stand By Me”
Ryan is in the groove - performing CT’s own The Wildweed’s “No Good To Cry”
Don’t let the hot dog hat fool you. Ethan is all business when it comes to drums
Joseph did a great job with The Rolling Stones hit “Satisfaction”
Oliver ended our recital by knocking Tom Petty’s “Won’t Back Down” out of the park!
